Job Description

Position Summary:

The Department of Physics and Astronomy within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) invites applications for a 90% contract, one-year, term funded faculty position at the rank of Term Instructor responsible for teaching lower division Physics and/or Astronomy laboratory courses.  MS in Physics and/or Astronomy (or related field). A Ph.D. is preferred, but not required for this term position.  A strong interest in and aptitude for teaching undergraduates in introductory physics and astronomy and associated laboratories is vital. The start date for this position is August 8, 2021, with the potential for renewal thereafter.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
