Job Description
The School of Mathematics and Physics is seeking to appoint a talented astrophysicist for a 3-year lectureship at the University of Queensland (research and teaching). We are particularly interested in further enhancing and expanding upon our existing research strengths in theoretical cosmology, observational cosmology, and galaxy evolution. However, applicants with an outstanding track record in any area of astrophysics are encouraged to apply.
The appointee will have a demonstrated record of performing innovative, international quality research, and will have a vision for their future research direction.
This is a fixed-term appointment at Academic Level B for 3 years.
Astrophysics is a rapidly growing research area at the University of Queensland. The University of Queensland campus is located in a curve of the Brisbane River, just 2km south of the city centre, within easy reach of national parks and the glorious beaches of the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

Compensation and Benefits
You receive 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the salary, bringing the total package to between US$78,188 and US$92,848 per annum.
