Job Description
The Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille (LAM, https://www.lam.fr/en/) invites applications for a post-doctoral position in extragalactic astrophysics, with a focus on studying the early Universe and the Epoch of Reionisation using JWST data, to work with Dr. Laure CIESLA.
The successful candidate will join LAM's Galaxy, Stars, and Cosmology group, an active and dynamic environment with researchers participating in major extragalactic JWST surveys. The selected candidate will have access to extensive computing facilities available at LAM.
Starting dates are negotiable, with a preferred period between February 2025 and October 2025.
Applicants should have obtained a PhD in astronomy/astrophysics by the time of the appointment. Applicants with previous experience in extragalactic observational astronomy and the high redshift Universe will be favoured. The appointment is for 2 years with a salary depending on experience. Generous funding will be available for travel and research.
