Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Astrophysics
Job Summary
Job Description
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research position at Maynooth University. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with Dr. Regan and his group analysing and disseminating results from the recent SEEDZ simulation datasets.
SEEDZ is a state-of-the-art hydrodynamical simulation suite modelling galaxy formation and black hole formation in the Early Universe. The initial suites are now complete and the results need to be analysed and disseminated.
The successful candidate is expected to have strong computational physics and data analysis skills. While experience with running and analysing hydrodynamical simulations is essential, experience with the Arepo code is not required (although would be beneficial).
A PhD in astrophysics is essential with prior postdoctoral experience highly desirable.
Applications for the position must be made through the Maynooth University application portal: https://my.corehr.com/pls/nuimrecruit/apply?id=041743
Enquiries regarding the position are encouraged and can be made by contacting John Regan <[email protected]>
