Job Description
Stargazing Leaders
- Year-round (only full-time in summer)
- 5 total hours of work/program
- Your choice of 3-5 programs/week
- Lead engaging and informative stargazing programs, solar astronomy programs, and planetarium programs.
STEM Educators
- School calendar year & summer camps
- Classroom-based and 1-on-1 tutoring sessions
- Teach STEM Lessons (curriculum provided) in local elementary, middle & high schools
- Lead/Assist with outdoor education lessons
Required experience for all jobs
- Knowledge of STEM, specifically astronomy
- Using telescopes to locate space based objects
- Science and/or Math teaching and/or tutoring experience
- B.A. or B.S. in Math or Science
- First Aid and CPR Certification
Required qualities for all jobs
- 21 years old
- Excellent communication skills
- Clean driving record
- Clean background check
- Punctuality
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to ~50lbs of equipment
- Ability to safely drive 15 passenger vans with trailer (training provided)
- Ability to safely hitch and unhitch trailer (training provided)

- $165/public astronomy program
- $200/Private Stargazing Program + tips
- $33/hr for STEM Educator tutoring, up to 25 hrs/week during the school year
