Applications are invited for appointment as Research Scientist in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, to commence as soon as possible for two years. Applicants should have a strong background of methods for imaging through atmospheric turbulence, and possess a Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., physics, astronomy). The appointee will be expected to conduct basic research into novel methods for high-resolution imaging through strong atmospheric turbulence for application in both space situational awareness and astronomy. Applicants should have demonstrated research leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and a consistent record of both research publications and securing competitively funded research grants and contracts.
