Job Description

We invite applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in the USNA Physics Department starting as early as fall 2018. Appointments at all ranks will be considered, but the preference is for junior faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates in all fields who value a balance between teaching and research are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in candidates who specialize in the areas of acoustics or observational astrophysics. Successful candidates, including those who specialize in our top areas of interest will demonstrate the potential for teaching a variety of physics and/or astrophysics courses including required courses for undergraduate physics majors at the upper level. 

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in physics, astrophysics or a related discipline is required. (anticipated completion of Ph.D. no later than July 2018 is acceptable).
- Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
