Universidad Andres Bello and Millennium Institute for Astrophysics are inviting qualified candidates to apply for a postdoctoral position to design and develop optical and infrared astronomical instrumentation in Chile. The position is for three years with the possibility of an extension for three additional years.
The candidate will be part of the astronomical instrumentation team at Universidad Andrés Bello, devoted to the development of instruments for the Millennium Institute of Astrophysics. We are offering competitive salary accord with the qualification of the candidate.
Basic Qualifications:
Ph.D. in engineering, physics, astronomy or related field.
Capable of independent, original design work with special emphasis, but not limited to, astronomical cameras and spectrographs.
Additional two years postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.
