Job Description
The Space science, Technologies, and Astrophysics Research unit (STAR Institute) and the Department for Astrophysics, Geophysics and Oceanography (AGO) of the University of Liège are inviting applications for a permanent (tenure-track), full-time research assistant position ("logisticien de recherche") in the field of astronomical instrumentation for exoplanet science. This position aims to support on-going instrumentation projects, and foster the development of new projects, mainly in the field of exoplanet high-contrast imaging. One of the immediate tasks of a successful candidate will be to manage and participate in the technical contribution of the STAR Institute to the METIS first-generation instrument for the ELT, including system-level integration and commissioning tasks. On the longer term, a successful candidate is also expected to contribute to future space-based missions in the field of exoplanets.
