Job Description
We seek an outstanding candidate to join the research team of Oliver Hahn to develop numerical or data-driven techniques in the context of cosmology or extragalactic astrophysics. Our ideal candidate has a background in (astro-)physics or applied mathematics, and a pronounced interest and strong track record in the modelling of the large-scale structure of our Universe, the analysis of cosmological datasets, or related topics in astrophysics and cosmology. The successful candidate will support and complement existing research efforts of our team, while further developing and shaping their own research profile in collaboration with the group.
The start of the contract is negotiable. The employment period is 3 years from the beginning of the contract with a possible extension by an additional year.
You should have a PhD degree in physics (or related fields) and a strong background in programming and cosmology/astrophysics. Some participation in teaching, (co-)supervision of students, and administrative duties is part of the job profile.
