Job Description
The Institute for Astronomy at the School of Physics, Zhejiang University is now recruiting candidates as tenure-track faculty in all frontiers of Astronomy: observational, theoretical and instrumental astrophysics. Observers in optical and radio astronomy are particularly encouraged to apply. The positions are open to all nationalities.
Zhejiang University (ZJU) is one of the top universities in China, located in the beautiful, historic city Hangzhou, which features high-tech development and holds the headquarters of the E-commerce giant Alibaba. Astronomy is a new extension of the School of Physics, with current areas including cosmology, galaxy formation, high-energy astrophysics, interstellar medium, and formation of planetary systems. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in astrophysics with outstanding independent research records. The salary and start-up grant of successful candidates will be highly competitive with subsidized housing. Significant computational resources are available.
Candidate should submit a CV with publication records, research statement, and at least three letters of recommendation, directly to Prof. Xi Kang ([email protected]).
