Salary: $60,391.00 - $105,677.00 Annually
The Ventura County Community College District is currently seeking a Physics/Astronomy Instructor to join our team. There is currently one full time, tenure-track position at Moorpark College that will begin during the Fall 2025 semester.
An Instructor provides inclusive, welcoming spaces and comprehensive classroom instruction to students from diverse backgrounds to close opportunity gaps and help students reach their academic and professional goals. Instructors also support students outside of the classroom and are involved in a variety of college and district activities, such as committees, campus events, and outreach. The Physics/Astronomy Instructor will work under the general direction of a dean. Salary Range: $60,391.00 to $126,810.00

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess the minimum qualifications for the discipline as approved by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges handbook.
Master's in physics, astronomy or astrophysics OR Bachelor's in physics or astronomy AND Master's in engineering, mathematics, meteorology or geophysics OR the equivalent* OR possession of a valid California Community College Teaching Credential appropriate to the discipline.
