With E-STEEM –- empowering women in STEM and Economics -- the University of Vienna awards at least 20 four-year and full-time (40h/week) postdoctoral positions to outstanding female scientists in natural sciences, life sciences, and economics. The applicant must be a woman (or identify as one) and have completed their PhD in 2022 or after (with documented career interruption subtracted).
The Department of Astrophysics (https://astro.univie.ac.at/en/) is looking forward to host applicants interested in astrophysics-related research and teaching. We cover a broad range of research topics from planets, stars, galaxies to cosmology. We have privileged access to the Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC; https://asc.ac.at/) facility, and as member state of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and the European Space Agency (ESA), Austria has access to their first-class observing facilities. Your working place, the University Observatory, is located in the middle of the natural monument Observatory Park in the lively city of Vienna with outstanding public transport.
