Job Description
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position to work on advancing methods for the analysis of radio-interferometric data with a focus on pipeline solutions to LOFAR very-long-baseline interferometric (LOFAR-VLBI) observations. The project will build on preliminary works to develop improved pipeline solutions for targeted LOFAR observations involving its longest international baselines and a drastic increase of survey angular resolution. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with partners from the German D-LOFAR-ERIC consortium and the international LOFAR-VLBI working group.
Demonstrated experience in radio interferometry and software development will be considered a strong asset. Exceptional doctoral applicants with strong background will also be considered for the position.
The position shall be filled as soon as possible. Applications received by March 24, 2025 will be given full consideration. The position will, however, remain open after this first deadline until a suitable candidate is found.
