Job Description
The Department of Physics at Durham University, UK seeks to appoint an outstanding candidate at Lecturer (Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) level. We welcome applications from exceptional scholars with research and teaching interests in the broad field of astronomical instrumentation. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in optical-infrared astronomy, however well qualified candidates in other areas of astronomical instrumentation are also encouraged to apply.
This post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the development of the Department of Physics research and teaching, and the successful candidate will be expected to lead the development and exploitation of innovative new instruments and contribute to our portfolio of research-led teaching activities.
