Job Description
The SKA-India Consortium (SKAIC) invites applications for Post-Doctoral Fellowships (PDFs) to foster research aligned with the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) science and technology goals. Selected Fellows will be temporary employees of NCRA-TIFR but will be stationed at one of the participating SKAIC Host Institutions across India.
Eligibility: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. (or a provisional Ph.D. degree at the time of joining) in Physics, Astronomy, or a related science or engineering discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience relevant to SKA science or technology areas.
Compensation & Tenure: Positions are initially for one year, renewable annually up to a maximum of 3 years. The monthly Fellowship ranges from ₹58,000 to ₹67,000 based on experience. Fellows also receive House Rent Allowance (HRA) and a contingency grant of ₹60,000/year for research expenses.
