Job Description
SUNY Oswego seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor of Physics
The Assistant Professor of Physics will teach Astronomy and Physics courses and General Education courses in the Physics major and Astronomy minor programs.
The Assistant Professor will also:
Take the lead in utilizing the College Planetarium to develop outreach and educational shows for Physics, other departments, the local community and will stay abreast and implement the latest developments in planetarium technologies.
Integrate the Rice Creek Observatory into Astronomical courses, student research and outreach events.
Mentor undergraduates in research projects.
Help to maintain and improve the department's various undergraduate programs into vibrant cutting edge courses.
Be expected to play a part in the administration of the department and College as a whole.
Participate in academic advisement and career mentorship of undergraduate physics majors.
