Take the SpaceNews Satellite Industry Workforce Survey

Crystal Tinch American Astronomical Society (AAS)

Adapted from the SpaceNews eNewsletter and posted on behalf of SpaceNews:

The satellite industry is only as good as the people who work in it. That is why SpaceNews is partnering with industry associations on the first-ever multicompany, multinational study of the satellite industry workforce.

There is so much that we need to know about the people who work in this business: their ages and genders, educational qualifications and work experience, what they get paid, and how engaged they are in their companies. We will publish a report in February 2015 that gives the top managers of companies a new perspective on the vital importance of talent in the industry, and encourage better performance in recruiting, developing, and retaining high-quality staff.

We can only do it with your help. I receive as many survey requests as you probably do and, frankly, I ignore most of them. But this one is about your career and your industry, and I urge you to take the 15 minutes required to complete it. You may not see the result in your professional objectives or pay packet tomorrow — but you will be contributing to a better career and a better industry in the future.
