OIR Committee Meets 31 July & 1 August

The National Research Council (NRC) OIR System Study Committee, chaired by former AAS President Debra Elmegreen (Vassar College), will hold its first meeting on 31 July and 1 August in Washington, DC. The committee is considering a strategy to optimize the US optical and infrared (OIR) system in the era of the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). 

Interested AAS members are welcome to attend the open portions of the meeting in Room 101 of the Keck Center of the National Academies at 500 Fifth St., NW. If you can't attend in person, you may participate remotely via WebEx or teleconference. Instructions are included in the PDF agenda linked below under RESOURCES.
