Candidate Statement: I would bring the perspective of an observer in a theoretical department with limited observational resources to the AAS council. As a woman who grew up in the Bronx, I am very committed to moving the demographics of the field to match that of the country as a whole. I spend a significant amount of time on a STEM education program in New Jersey state prisons. I would welcome the chance to work on related issues for the field of astronomy within the AAS.
