The AAS Public Policy team makes every effort to regularly communicate with the AAS membership and with policymakers. Occasionally these efforts are formal events at meetings or on the Hill.

- There are AAS-sponsored events at each winter AAS meeting. Check the program for details about AAS-sponsored events at the upcoming meeting.
- Each AAS meeting and division meeting has some public policy events. Check the program for each meeting for more information.
- At DPS 47, the Federal Relations Subcommittee organized a panel of planetary policy experts and a briefing on Capitol Hill. Check the archived schedule for more information.
AAS-sponsored events on Capitol Hill
- In 2014 and 2015, the AAS sponsored a State of the Universe congressional briefing each January.
- Starting in 2016, the AAS has co-sponsored semi-regular congressional briefings with the Smithsonian Astrophysics Observatory (SAO), called Space on the Hill.
