Posted on behalf of Dr. Sujit Ghosh, Deputy Director, SAMSI

The Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (SAMSI) is sponsoring a year-long Program on Statistical, Mathematical, and Computational Methods for Astronomy (ASTRO). The program will cover a range of statistical problems that come up in modern astronomical and space- science research and will focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration by bringing together astronomers, computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians.

The ASTRO program will begin with an opening workshop 22-26 August 2016 at the Hamner Conference Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. For more information, visit the SAMSI website or contact [email protected].
