Proposal acceptance rates for the Chandra X-ray Observatory were higher for men than women in the early years, but they have been indistinguishable since 2009. That's good news!

The AAS Ethics Task Force was charged with revising the AAS Code of Ethics in October 2015. A draft is ready and we need your input.

The AAS Council established a Task Force on Society Governance at the 2016 winter meeting. That task force will hold its first meeting 10-11 March and will be accepting feedback from AAS members and non-members.
