The virtual meeting platform, vFairs, is available to both in-person and virtual attendees throughout the meeting. This platform provides access to components like:

• Meeting schedule
• Registrant list
• Links to attend most sessions virtually
• Virtual Networking Lounge
• Exhibitor webinars
• iPoster gallery
• In-meeting announcements and alerts

To access the virtual meeting platform, follow the instructions below.

Before the meeting:

• Register for the meeting (all attendees including speakers, presenters, exhibitors, and press must be registered). If you need assistance with registration please contact [email protected].
• Test your login before the meeting. Log in to the AAS site with the same user name and password as used for registration. Make note of your user name and password; these will be your credentials to log in to the virtual meeting.
• Check your internet connection, sound, and camera settings on your computer. As an attendee, you will have an opportunity to virtually interact face-to-face with our exhibitors and other attendees, if you wish. Therefore, we suggest checking your computer audio and video settings before joining. Learn how here.
• Watch Zoom training videos to become familiar with the platform, and see the accordion tab below for more information about using Zoom at AAS meetings. Please note that you do not need to install the Zoom application on your device in order to participate; you will have the option to view all Zoom webinars and meetings from your browser (Chrome is suggested).
• Learn How to Get the Most of Online Events and Conferences to maximize your participation, and educate yourself about online meeting participation etiquette.

During the meeting:

• Visit https://aas241.vfairs.com and log in via the Attendee Login or Exhibitor Login button. Note that before the meeting opens, you will not be able to access the full virtual platform. During the week before the meeting, you will receive an email instructing you to log in and update your profile.

  We invite all presenters to use the AAS-approved virtual backgrounds when you are on camera. You are also welcome to use your own virtual backgrounds.

All participants — both virtual and in-person — will be invited to participate in a meeting-wide Slack community. Communication for the meeting will take place in Slack, and each meeting session will have a separate Slack channel in which attendees can talk with each other, ask questions, and more. The meeting Slack community will also have channels for special events and groups, for socializing, for networking, for obtaining technical assistance, etc.

How do I network during the hybrid meeting?

All attendees will have an opportunity to network via Slack throughout the hybrid meeting. Visit the registrant list to find out if your colleagues and friends have registered for the meeting.

Access to Slack will be available in the virtual lounge.

Upon entering Slack, there will be multiple channels available for chat.

If you already have the vFairs mobile app on your phone, please make sure to allow updates.

You will need to use "Attendee SSO Login", type in the meting code "aas241" (case sensitive ), and use your AAS login as for the meeting platform.

What information will be available to me post meeting?

Meeting attendees will have access to the recorded sessions after the session has concluded. Following the meeting, the AAS will offer other options to non-registrants.
