Job Description
The Department of Physics and Astronomy is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach two introductory Astronomy (Wanderers in Space and Concepts of the Cosmos) and up to two major Physics core courses (these will depend on the lecturer’s expertise) in the 2025-26 academic year. A course load of at least three classes makes the position benefits eligible. Prior years’ syllabi and educational materials will be provided upon hire.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to strengthen their teaching expertise through interactions with our faculty, the Tufts Center of Enhancement of Learning and Teaching, and will benefit from our strong tradition of excellence in physics education.
Applicants should have completed a PhD in physics, astronomy, or a related field. Teaching experience is recommended.
