Job Description

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in observational astronomy, in the CASSACA Beijing group. The position will involve independent research and collaboration with Prof. Jiasheng Huang and Prof. Y.Sophia Dai on the multiwavelength studies of optical and infrared galaxies and Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs).

Candidates are expected to hold a PhD degree in astronomy or related fields at the time of appointment, with a demonstrated track record of research.

Preference will be given to candidates with research experiences in multiwavelength (either X-ray, optical, infrared, sub-mm, radio) observations and data analysis. The starting annual compensation ranges from $35000 to $55000, contingent upon nationality, qualification and performance. A travel and research grant will also be provided. Position will initially be for one year, with an extension on a year-by-year basis up to three years total, pending satisfactory performance.
