Job Description
The Centro de Estudios de Física del Cosmos de Aragón (CEFCA) offers a fully funded four-year PhD
position combining numerical simulations and observational studies of small Solar System bodies.
The project includes analysis of new and archival imaging data to extract astrometric and photometric
information, identify fast-moving objects, and support follow-up observations of high-priority targets.
In parallel, the candidate will apply and extend models of coupled dynamical and thermal evolution to
characterize asteroid properties.
The exact PhD program will be tailored to the candidate’s background and interests and carried out
under the supervision of Bojan Novakovic.
Candidates should have a background in physics, astronomy, or a related field and demonstrate strong
motivation and willingness to learn. Prior experience with the specific project topics is not required.
The position is based in Teruel, Spain, and includes a salary and standard employment benefits in
accordance with Spanish regulations, as well as flexible working hours.
