The Niels Bohr International Academy (NBIA) invites expressions of interest for 5-year, fixed-term Louis-Hansen Foundation Assistant/Associate Professorship.
NBIA aims to either expand into new research areas of Theoretical Quantum Sciences or Climate Research, or strengthen on-going programs, including Theoretical Biophysics, Theoretical and Computational Astrophysics (including Cosmology and Planetary Sciences), Particle Astrophysics and Multimessenger Astrophysics, Theoretical Particle Physics, and Gravitational Physics. NBIA will consider truly outstanding individuals in all areas of theoretical physics. The Louis-Hansen Foundation Assistant/Associate Professor will preferably start during the fall of 2025. Interested individuals are encouraged to upload all material before February 28th, 2025. The search will continue until the position is filled.
We are seeking internationally outstanding, highly motivated individuals who are eager to start their own groups with the potential to become leaders in their fields. NBIA seeks scientists who will play a leading role by contributing to the daily activities and the future development of the Academy.
Louis-Hansen Foundation Assistant and Associate Professors are expected to carry out an independent research program and interact with other NBIA members. They will have the opportunity to guide more junior fellows, teach courses at various levels, participate in outreach activities, and organize international meetings and PhD schools.
