Assistant/Associate Professor of Instruction - College of Sciences, Physics and Astronomy
The Department of Physics & Astronomy at UT San Antonio invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term (non-tenure-track) Assistant or Associate Professor of Instruction position beginning August 2026. This is a teaching position involving undergraduate courses in astronomy and/or physics, with an emphasis on Cosmology and Relativity courses. The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, or a related field.

The Department of Physics and Astronomy currently has 32 faculty members with research across materials science, biophysics, observational astronomy, theoretical and laboratory astrophysics, and space physics. The Department enrollment is currently 137 undergraduate majors and 82 graduate students. The Department offers accredited B. A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Physics.
