Job Description
The Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) at The Australian National University (ANU) is welcoming applications for a tenured faculty position from world-class researchers in Radio Astronomy. The faculty member will contribute to the strategic goals of RSAA through excellence in research, teaching, and other professional activities. They will drive the School’s research programs, and will win grants, supervise graduate students, and teach undergraduates. During the first 5 years the successful candidate will hold the position of Stromlo Fellow in Radio Astronomy during which the position will be research focussed.
RSAA has world-class staff and students, and an exceptional track record in research and teaching. The vibrant and diverse astronomical research community at RSAA has access to a broad array of facilities, including optical telescopes operated by ANU at Siding Spring Observatory (AAT 4m, ANU 2.3m) and radio telescopes (ATCA, Parkes, ASKAP, MWA). ANU is a partner in the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT) project and Australia is a strategic partner of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) with access to telescopes at Paranal and La Silla. RSAA has access to the National Computational Infrastructure supercomputers, as well as in-house compute clusters. RSAA develops sophisticated astronomical and space hardware in the state-of-the-art facilities at our Advanced Technology and Instrumentation Centre.

Compensation and Benefits
Relocation expenses will be provided for applicants relocating to Canberra. Generous paid parental leave entitlements of up to 32 weeks.
Salary is in Australian Dollars. A 17% superannuation contribution is provided in addition to the salary quoted.
