AAS Astronomy Ambassadors Program — 2020 Application

AAS 235 Astronomy Ambassadors Workshop

Thank you for your interest in the AAS Astronomy Ambassadors program, which supports early-career AAS members in improving their communication skills and provides them with access to resources and contacts for doing outreach to school children and the public. The Astronomy Ambassadors program will conduct a two-day workshop at the 235th AAS meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, 3-4 January 2020. Participants will benefit from ongoing support and discussion following the workshop through a web-based community.

To apply to become an Astronomy Ambassador, please complete this online form, as well as the Commitment & Endorsement Form (PDF). Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required; others are optional. All application materials are due by Monday, 4 November 2019. Note that applications will be processed on a rolling basis, i.e., first come, first served, so you should submit your application as soon as possible.

NOTE: You must be a Member or Affiliate of the AAS and must register for the 235th AAS meeting to participate in this workshop. If you do not yet belong to the AAS, you may join during the meeting-registration process. If you are a Member or Affiliate, please sign in via the "Sign In" link at upper right. This will pre-populate many of the form fields from your AAS profile.

Application deadline: 4 November 2019

Please describe your current research interests in no more than 50 words.
