[117.02U] CCD Photometry of Variables in the Field of QS Geminorum

D.I. Ketcheson, P.J. Brown, E.G. Hintz (Brigham Young University)

We present results of BVRI photometric observations of the delta Scuti variable QS Geminorum and the nearby eclipsing binary GSC 01342-01261. Analysis of recent observations, combined with data obtained by Hintz. et. al. (2000) allow improved period estimates for these two variables. We find a period of 0.1320 cycles/day for QS Gem, with significant secondary modes of oscillation. For the eclipsing variable, we find a period of 0.6992 cycles/day, approximately half the previous estimate (Carroll et. al.). We also confirm the classification as an Algol binary.
