Meetings Tag Definition: Relates to the overall Meetings program and everything produced by the Meetings Department. Additional meeting specific tags (e.g. aas222) are used to categorize items for individual meetings.
- Items produced by other departments for a specific meeting do not contain the general Meetings tag. They are categoriezed within their subject area (e.g. Press, Policy, Public Outreach) plus they contain the specific meeting tag (e.g. aas222).
- Members may subscribe to the main Meetings category to receive notifications for ALL meetings OR they may subscribe to individual meetings using the specific meeting number tags.

The 228th meeting of the American Astronomical Society will be held in San Diego, California, 12-16 June 2016. The AAS seeks proposals for Special Sessions, Town Halls, Workshops, and Splinter Meetings.
Social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram (among many others) are a great tool for communicating our results to other members of the community and the general public. We expect many DPS 2015 attendees to use social media and/or their own blogs to share science results and the excitement of the meeting with colleagues who cannot attend and interested non-scientists.
A special workshop at next month's meeting of the AAS Division for Planetary Sciences features a workshop on how data from NASA's astrophysics missions can be used to advance planetary research.
