AAS Kentucky Area Meeting

Professional astronomers, faculty, post-docs, graduate and undergraduate students in astronomy in Kentucky and the surrounding area are invited to a one day meeting to foster closer ties to support research and teaching in astronomy. We aim to start around 10:00 am and finish by 4:30 pm. This meeting is a test of a new American Astronomical Society format for regional meetings. There is no registration fee. Please register by sending an email to Gerard Williger ([email protected]).

We solicit oral and poster contributions (including "electronic posters" of 1-2 slides and 5 minutes of time, including questions) from students and post-docs. If you would like to contribute a poster or talk, please contact Tom Pannuti (t.pannuti [at] moreheadstate-dot-edu) by 31 March, including a title + maximum 250 word abstract, and a preference for a poster, regular oral (around 10 minutes + 5 minutes for questions, depending on how many contributions we get) and short oral (5 minutes, an "e-poster").
