AAS 221 LogoThank you for your interest in the AAS Astronomy Ambassadors program, which supports early-career AAS members in improving their communication skills and provides access to resources and contacts for doing outreach to school children and the public. The Astronomy Ambassadors program will kick off with a two-day workshop at the 221st AAS meeting in Long Beach, California, 5-6 January 2013. Participants will benefit from ongoing support and discussion following the workshop through a web-based community.

To apply to become an Astronomy Ambassador, please complete this online form, as well as the Commitment & Endorsement Form. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required; others are optional. All application materials are due by October 24, 2012.

NOTE: You must be a member of the AAS and must register for the 221st AAS meeting to participate in this workshop. If you are not yet a member of the AAS, you may join during the registration process.
