[62.12] A Parsec-Scale Outflow in the Rosette Molecular Cloud

Ybarra & Phelps (2004) report the discovery of a large angular extent [SII] feature in the Rosette Molecular Cloud (RMC). They suggest that this feature may be a parsec-scale outflow from a young stellar object, possibly associated with an unidentified young stellar object (YSO) in a nearby embedded cluster. Here we report on molecular Hydrogen (H2) observations, obtained with the Lick Observatory 3-meter telescope, that confirm this interpretation. 2MASS data reveal a YSO at the terminus of the [SII] emission, while our H2 data reveal "bulleted" emission, eminating from the YSO and connecting to the optical [SII] emission.
