[89.02] Lighting 101

D.L. Crawford (International Dark-Sky Association)

This presentation will review the major elements of outdoor lighting designs, including the reasons for such lighting, and what can be done to insure that any adverse impacts are minimized. While outdoor lighting is a very complicated subject, some of the issues can be understood, as well as the necessary terminology.
