[82.06] Matrix Lightcurve Inversion: HR 1099 Results and Comparison with other Methods

We have surface mapping results generated from wideband photometric data for several stars using Matrix Lightcurve Inversion (MLI). One of these stars, HR 1099=V711 Tauri, has been modeled and mapped using standard "trial-and-error" photometric methods and doppler imaging. The comparison of these various results is enlightening with respect to the capability of MLI as an improvement over older photometric methods and as a suitable replacement for doppler imaging when that technique is not viable.
