We present a detailed timing analysis of all the data collected by the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer for the BL Lac object Mrk 421 from 1994 to 1997. During these years Mrk 421 has been observed by EUVE 4 times with the DS/Spectrograph and 2 times with the imaging telescopes for a total of ~1.4 millions seconds.
We show the results of the power spetrum and of the structure function analysis, a technique which gives the same information of the power spectrum but is more sensitive toward longer time scales. The structure function data imply the existence of a break.
We also present a comparison of EUVE data with current emission models and discuss the physical implications for Mrk 421.
