The kinematics of the thick disk and halo of the Galaxy can be explored using field horizontal branch stars (FHB) and main sequence A-type stars as population tracers. To date we have approximately 1000 FHB/A star candidates with available broad-band UBV photometry and medium resolution spectroscopy. Physical parameters, (Teff, Log g, [Fe/H]) and line-of-sight velocities have been calculated for a significant fraction of the total sample. We present the results of these reductions and discuss the uncertainties in the derived parameters along with the effectiveness of our seperation technique for the two populations. Rotation velocities, line-of-sight velocity dispersions, and velocity ellipsoid solutions will also be presented for these subsamples.
