The Precision Measuring Microdensitometer (PMM) program of the U.~S.~Naval Observatory (USNO) Flagstaff Station will be used to measure the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey POSS-I $O$ and $E$ plates and the POSS-II $J$, $F$, $N$, and USNO quick $J$ . The goal is to produce a merged catalog of positions, proper motions, magnitudes, colors, and image classification parameters. Currently, the PMM is undergoing final calibration and algorithm development, and the beginning of the plate scanning phase is scheduled for spring of 1994. Without unforeseen changes in algorithms and personnel, the PMM will be able to scan and reduce 16 POSS plates per day. A video presentation will show the PMM in operation, and various aspects of the program strategy, accuracy, and limitations will be presented.
