What to do with your Presentation
Oral talk presenters need to stop by the Speaker Ready Room to upload their presentations to the Speaker Ready server, check out the slick Mac dual-OS laptops, and to run-through your talk at one of our practice presentation podiums. The Speaker Ready technicians are a great source for technical information; feel free to ask for presentation advice. The upload process can take as little or as much time as you are comfortable with, but the Speaker Ready technicians do like to brag that you can upload your talk and be on your way in 30 seconds!
We highly encourage any Monday early morning speakers to stop by the Speaker Ready Room in Room 109 of the Indiana Convention Center on Sunday, 3:00pm-5:00pm to upload your presentation.
Don't want to go to the Speaker Ready Room? Please feel free to upload your presentation via the web to the Speaker Ready server at aasuploads.com. Presentations will be accepted through this upload portal through 5:00pm PT Sunday, 2 June 2013.
Poster presenters may hang their posters up in the Exhibit Hall on their assigned days, beginning at 8:00am each day. The maximum size your poster may be is 44" x 44". Badges are required to enter the Exhibit Hall at any time. If you are hanging your poster between the hours of 8:00am-9:00am each day, please be aware that you must present your poster upon entrance, and that only 2 attendees per poster will be a admitted during these hours. Push pins by the thousands will be provided!
Is your poster missing from the board you put it on yesterday? Any posters that are displayed on unscheduled days will be removed by the AAS staff and volunteers, and placed near the AAS booth for retrieval. Please note that we cannot save poster presentations that are printed on individual sheets of paper.
Time to Gather! 'Cause Networking is good too...
The AAS hosts a couple of receptions on the evening of Sunday, 2 June.
The Undergraduate Orientation Reception will be held at the Westin Indianapolis, in Grand Ballroom 1, 6:00pm-7:00pm.
But don't worry if you cannot make the Undergradate Orientation Reception, because right next door in Grand Ballroom 5 is the AAS Opening Reception, 7:00pm-9:00pm. Be sure to stop by to sample some local treats.
The AAS will be providing wireless internet throughout the Long Beach Convention Center meeting space, Monday-Thursday. When connecting to the wireless, look for an SSID of AAS. Your username and password will be printed on the back of your meeting badge.
Good Eats and Good Deals
Downtown Indianapolis is known for casual, local cuisine. Be sure to check out our list of restaurants with discounts for meeting attendees with badges!
Nice and Warm
It is generally going to be partly cloudy and warm during our stay in Indianapolis, with highs up to the mid 80's (Farenheit) which will make for great weather for exploring the city after sessions. The low temperatures will range in the mid 60's (Farenheit), so do plan on bringing sandals for the daytime, and maybe a light jacket for the evening. As always, we suggest wearing layers during the meeting so that you can maintain a comfortable personal body temperature in the Indiana Convention Center.
